| Alright,
if you are reading this you have problems. You're
obviously bored -or- hold the true definition of being a
"junkie." And if that's the case I feel
you should know that the whole "junkie" thing
is a joke. Just ask yourself if you are here for
the right reasons.
So...hmm...about
PJ? This site is actually quite interesting; it
has been through so many ups and downs, and offs and ons
(whoa...this whole "junkie" thing makes a
little better sense now).
First,
about me. My name is Bryce (yooo) and reside in
the rain puddle most people refer to as Seattle,
Washington. My hobbies are long walks and sharing
a nice glass of Chardonnay with a .........whoa!
Wrong profile...Anyway, I work in the Property
Management industry (what actually pays the bills) here
in Seattle and very much enjoy it. During the week
I'm workin' hard and on the weekend I'm partyin' harder.
So
which am I; an automobile enthusiast? Or a Graphic
Designer? Funny you should ask! My
background actually involves both. I am a
"self-taught" graphic designer who actually began
making fun of my friends by putting funny faces
on them. Just a couple short years later and I was
making
Tradeshow booths and launching branding campaigns!
Whoa...deep man...deep.
THEN, I
worked for a start-up venture that encompassed the
Automotive industry. In doing that, I met a lot of
"big wig" people in the industry and got my
hands on the latest automobiles and was fortunate enough
to fly to New York City for the press days of the NY Auto show.
Very cool stuff. Unfortunately this
"start-up" fell flat on its face thanks, in
part, to some bad management.
So what
gets me going? Well these are my weapons of
choice. I ride a 2001 Honda CBR600F4i which is an
amazing machine. My "cage" (as we
motorcyclists like to call them) is a BMW 323Ci; a great
feat of German engineering.

I
hope to begin racing this season and have taken the steps this
far to participate in the racing circuit.
I
thought it would be interesting to put together a timeline of
PhotoshopJunkie and its beginnings.
| In
the Beginning . . . . |
| March
2000 |
Joined
a site called ClubSi
(I owned a 00' Civic Si at the time). They had a
forum dedicated to Photoshopping cars. Tooled
around on there and became quite good at swapping
rims! As I grew, so did the questions in my
email box! |
| June
2000 |
In
an effort to relieve my time helping people with
Photoshop, I started a free Yahoo/Geocities
web account and made a couple of tutorials so I could
direct people to the site. |
| May
2001 |
Geocities
could no longer hold the traffic. Everyday the
site exceeded its traffic limit. The emails started
to pour in again. This site was always a fun toy
for me, so I decided to spring for some good
hosting. I then transferred the Geocities
content over to the new server. |
| October
2002. |
PJs
traffic hit 3 million hits a month! At this time
I am also working with a former Junkie (Mike) with our
own company, Soreye,
doing web and graphic design work. |
| May
2003 |
Friend
offered free hosting for referrals. I moved PJ over to
his server (www.redpulse.net).. |
| September
2003 |
Server
had hardware failure. Was told it was going to
be replaced but it never happened. PJ sat,
un-hosted for 5 months. |
| February
2004 |
Time
and funds became available once again. Started back
up with old hosting company and as I type I am still
working on this new version which you see now. |
| January
2006 |
About
time! Its been what? Almost 2 years since I have done
ANYTHING with this site? Shoooooot... Anyway, forums
are added, but I'm to lazy to admin them. So I'm sure
a couple a little punk sh*ts will ruin it for everyone
. . . |
| The
Future of PJ |
I
don't know; and if you know anyone who does know this,
have em' call me to tell me who will win the next
couple of Super Bowls so I can make a few small bets. |
